NEWS: DJ Smallz (@DJSmallz) Not Dead, DJ Smalls From Tampa With An “S” Passed Away

To clarify on DJ Smallz death rumors, a local dj from Tampa “DJ Smalls” who spelled his name with an “s” and was a resident DJ at Club Underground passed away yesterday from a motorcycle accident. “DJ Smallz” with a “z” aka Mr. Southern Smoke is alive and well. The rumors seemed to have started from Facebook from those who meant to say “DJ Smalls” misspelled the name with “DJ Smallz”

Corey Comer is a 29 year old who was in a head on collision car accident on Friday June 22,2012. He broke both legs. Corey had his first surgery on June 22 and his 2nd surgery on the other leg on Tuesday June 26th. These surgeries by all account were a success. Corey and his family had high hopes for a full recovery.

Later they found a problem with his colon and rushed him into surgery on Thursday June 28. Corey’s heart stopped and now he is in a coma with severe brain damage and has passed away on Wed July 25, 2012.

Corey is from Tampa Florida where he worked for Outback and was a local DJ but did not have life insurance. We are reaching out to family and friends for donations to help his parents take care of his pending expenses.
